winter

all the leaves are down now, it will look like this until march, it's still pretty pretty.

i set up the aerogarden today so in about a month there will be a handful of herbs growing in the kitchen. parsley, 2 kinds of basil, dill. they're incubating under their bright lights with water trickling through right now and it's fun to have a science experiment going on.

gold el camino

this is why i enjoy craigslist missed connections - there are some real fairytales waiting to happen:

Dirty Girl - m4w - 32 (corner of Lexington and 240)
Date: 2009-11-16, 8:05AM EST

I saw you this morning on my way to the Dripolator. You were picking at a scab beside your pink-nosed pitbull, and you smiled just the teeniest bit when I said hello.

This is a long shot, but if you're reading this at Pack Library and want to have a shower and a hot meal, I'd love to put you up for a night. And your dog too, as long as he's house-trained. The weather's about to get very cold and wet, and your boyfriend (?) seems like a real dick.

dcuble ccupons

harris teeter rules.

when drinking beer, from time to time i especially enjoy highland brewing's oatmeal porter because it's smooth and dark and sweet and made in asheville. the local harris teeter here in charlotte doesn't carry it, though they do carry highland's gaelic ale which is also delicious.

yesterday i went to the customer service desk looking for a request card to fill out & the girl said to write my name, #, and what i want on this piece of paper and she'd put it in 'her' box. i just got a voicemail from harris teeter that my beer's ready to pick up at the service desk.

pretty good.

flu shot

flu shot, originally uploaded by skippy haha.

anybody else worry about having live activated flu virus in the lobby of the grocery store?

http://www.harristeeter.com/in_our_stores/departments/pharmacy/flu_shot_clinics/details.aspx

they had FluMist - nasal spray - of live attenutated influenza vaccine - and you know not all the virus is going up their noses, some escapes to the air in the lobby. so i hope nobody under the age of 2, or over the age of 49, or pregnant goes in the grocery store lobby, as it's not recommended for them to breathe FluMist.

is this weird? this is weird.

Crappydrivingville

from asheville craigslist

Possibly two bad drivers.? One just doesn't realize it. (Crappydrivingville)

Your both crappy drivers you for making last minute eratic moves instead of going down the road turning around and coming back. But of course you don't see the fact that your driving sucks also. He again so common here in the melting pot let your crappy driving affect his crappy driving. Think about all the other drivers next time your not the only one out there. You miss your turn you pay the price not everybody around you. Uh duh quit bitching and fix your bad driving habits. Stop blaming others it really is you.

squash

squash, originally uploaded by skippy haha.

woke up tuesday and my computer had a virus. it was a fake virus scanner box that popped up. i tried to run virus removal from symantec and windows defender and after babysitting the machine for a few hours while it scanned every file i have, i restarted and the virus popped up again. so i took it to charlotte street computers. the nice guy called last night and said the hardware is fine but it's infected and it will be at least $160 and i should have it back by friday if all goes well and there's no way to rush it. i've been going to goodwill gathering vintage taking photos of a mannequin and going to the library to check emails. pretty frightening how i am so tied to having a computer with the internet. i love technology, but not as much as you you see, but i still love technology, always and forever

skippy haha says:

Diana&Gogo says:
skippy haha actually I am so shy asking you this question but what "stud" mean? I try to find the meaning in dictionary (the dictionary write related with horse) I really confuse +_+. Are you trying to say Nacho look like a little Horse here?

Hehe.... I'm keep trying to improve my English. Plz be patient to my language and my question (I'm a person that never tired to learn and asking question for everything I don't understand). ThQ....

skippy haha says:
Diana, that is great, I hope i can help you learn english! I think a "stud" means a handsome male dog, that all the lady dogs want to be with! Like a movie star! If he is a STUD, he is so handsome that all the lady dogs want to have puppies with him :)! Gogo is DEFINITELY a stud!

one-way radio

i haven't received an email since 2 AM last night. the skippyhaha.com, vintagevantage.com, kitshickers.com, and merchata.com sites are all down.

my deductive reasoning says there's something down at our servers in LA

i sent them a couple emails that probably didn't go through, and i sent a message through the contact form on their site so i am sure they know there's a problem

it's so strange to be at a computer and able to see every webpage (other than those 4) and not be able to retrieve emails. i am sure there have been messages sent to me in the last day, but whatever could they be?

i hope they are all being queued someplace so i can get them later

and i hope it is sooner than later

how did i survive before cyberspace?

holden you got them crazy eyes!

holdie locks is doing great! his chest looks like frankenstein, and he's doped up on painkillers but he's home and has to chill for 2 weeks until stitches come out and then he's a new dog!

jill and lande on the TV

my friend Jill (it was her tights that got stuck in holden's intestines 8 years ago!) and her super cool daughter Lande were on WRAL this morning talking about eating Ranch dressing which is hilarious because when I lived with Jill all she ate was Ranch dressing and cottage cheese and she would do scientific taste tests with holden - cheese balls vs. munch ems.

jill has a kid's hair salon in durham called peek-a-do! - check it out.

usually #6 is my favorite track on the cd
'not fit' starts and ends with some of the best lyrics i've heard-

"i'm not fit to be in the company of women
i drink a bit & smell like the jungles of india....

i'm no good at asking please or saying thank you
i'll lick your knife, butter your toast with a rusty spoon
i'll talk all night and i won't even tell you how pretty you are
i'm impolite, i'll drink you up in a dirty jar......
but don't be down on me..."

i got a blank notebook in the mail and i just wrote in it.

it's part of a project my friend spencer is doing called 99 notebooks.

if somebody gives you one of these notebooks you have to do 3 things - read everything in it, write something in it, and pass it on.

check out www.99notebooks.com for more details, and watch as 99 marble notebooks make their way around the world!

secret fluff safe

secret fluff safe, originally uploaded by skippy haha.

it was just a matter of time. i made a couple marshmallow fluff safes to go with the peanut butter safes i've done. now it's possible to make fake fluffernutters while stashing stuff.

in related news, a human being can eat nothing but 3 nectarines and a half a jar of marshmallow fluff in a day and still wake up the next morning.

bonnaroo webcast

so you don't have the time, money, or immune system to make it to manchester tennessee for bonnaroo music festival this weekend?

there is a live webcast - great sound quality, lots of close up camera angles, it's better than being there.

stream it live

right now it's the drive-by truckers passing a bottle of jack around stage. you can see them spit when they sing the picture's so clear.

raconteurs, les claypool, metallica, two gallants, tons more all weekend long
