when i run the faucet waiting for the water to heat up, the sound changes once the hot water gets there. any idea why?

I'm not a plumber, but my guess would have something to do with water pressure. The cold water is immediately available, but the warm water needs to be pumped from your hot water tank. I would guess the pressure is increased a little when the plumbing is trying to pull the hot water in and decreases once the water starts to flow. Just my opinion...I have no facts to back it up.
