happy father's day! hope everybody's weekend was spectacular. i learned many things:
1. if nacho has to go to the bathroom and there is no door open, he will relieve himself on the carpet.
2. a mixture of white vinegar and heavy duty carpet cleaner will get this up.
3. the UNCA campus is bursting with echinacea right now.
4. the 'savory crepes' from the first tent at the UNCA farmers market are gigantic and totally delicious.
5. if you bring empty growlers back to pisgah brewery they will not fill them up with anything you want from the taps. they will take the empty & give you a $5 discount on another already filled growler though.
6. if two full growlers knock into each other on a sharp van turn, one may explode into shattering glass and an atomic mushroom cloud of foamy brown ale before settling into the 1993 teal carpet.
7. if nacho has to go to the bathroom and there is no door open, he will relieve himself on the carpet.
8. a mixture of white vinegar and heavy duty carpet cleaner will get this up.
9. lucero sounds like dropkick murphys from the dirty south.
10. i am surrounded by good people and dogs.

Your both crappy drivers you for making last minute eratic moves instead of going down the road turning around and coming back. But of course you don't see the fact that your driving sucks also. He again so common here in the melting pot let your crappy driving affect his crappy driving. Think about all the other drivers next time your not the only one out there. You miss your turn you pay the price not everybody around you. Uh duh quit bitching and fix your bad driving habits. Stop blaming others it really is you.

at least 10 people in this photo are hugging
phish at the asheville civic center last night was a great time. extreme amount of energy put forth by the band and the crowd was full and fired up. the light show was like nothing i've ever seen, completely dialed in. they ran out of beer before the second set. the male to female ratio had to be 20-1. there were tons of uniformed cops everywhere in the streets and throughout the civic center but the atmosphere was intensely positive.

asheville people's market yay
went to the asheville people's market today to sell stash jars and so much happened. shared space with lydia who did a collaborative participatory community art project where people mostly kids dropped flowers and snakeskins and pennies and other treasures on an ancient windowpane and she pours clear resin over it and it all floats as if in glass. had lovely visits with l&m in wigs, ashevillein & daughter with spiral walking stick, gritgoods & photobug fred, shadmarsh with a sweet tot, and zenography whose duct tape wallet bought the crown jewel in the stash safe collection - the striped together pb&j laura lynn. i sold a few safes, haggled with a pickled woman, bartered for a bag of fruit salad, good times were had by all & i will go back to this market to sell or to browse on free sundays, it goes until october.

squash
woke up tuesday and my computer had a virus. it was a fake virus scanner box that popped up. i tried to run virus removal from symantec and windows defender and after babysitting the machine for a few hours while it scanned every file i have, i restarted and the virus popped up again. so i took it to charlotte street computers. the nice guy called last night and said the hardware is fine but it's infected and it will be at least $160 and i should have it back by friday if all goes well and there's no way to rush it. i've been going to goodwill gathering vintage taking photos of a mannequin and going to the library to check emails. pretty frightening how i am so tied to having a computer with the internet. i love technology, but not as much as you you see, but i still love technology, always and forever

asheville people's market
the press release:
"The Asheville People's Market will be open every Sunday, June through October from 11am to 4pm in the Parking Lot across from Rosetta's Kitchen (Broadway's, Nova, the Emerald Lounge, and TV Eye) at 93 N. Lexington Ave. Parking is available near the Food Lion skate park and under the 240 overpass bridge, and on the street on Lexington Ave.
In the spirit of the markets of the world and the generations, i proudly introduce, The Asheville People's Market. It is a flea-market style place to buy art, crafts, and homemade items from Asheville artists as well as bartering for and haggling over for yard sale items, lost treasures, and other peoples un-loved functionals. It is also the place for spending a social Sunday shopping outside of the typical consumer loop.
So bring the kids, the old folk, a sun hat, a few bucks, and come on down to see what treasure you might dig up and what necessities you can skip at the big box stores! Keep it local, Keep it real!
Vendor spaces will be available for 10$, on a first come first serve basis and are open to arts, crafts, handmades, and personal used yard sale and flea market items. We will judge re-sale vendors and informational tables on a individual basis. For more detailed information, or any questions or comments, please e-mail me at rosettastarshine@gmail.com
