i'm pretty sure i have a basal cell tumor on my shoulder. i finally did esearch on it & matched pictures and have myself 98% convinced. this is upsetting because i went to have moles checked out by a licensed dermatologist in april. i didn't point this one out specifically but he did look at it among all the others and said fine. but he didn't feel it and he must not have really looked at it because it's a basal cell tumor. i should have told him this one felt different & if you'll notice is not flat and brown like the others, i will spare photos of it because honestly it makes my insides twist in sickly green to think about it. i'm going to call the crap dermatologist tomorrow & get it taken off asap.

gag gag ggaaagggg
I had something removed from my left shin 6 months ago that looked alot like your bump. It was basal cell and they are very slow growing and highly treatable. My dermatologist said she got it all and not to worry, which is easier said than done until it's gone. Now she wants to see me every 6 months for a while. I think moles run in our family(another great trait...),not to mention all the intense unprotected sun exposure from birth to 30. Since 30, I have become a determined shade seeker and sun screen wearer. Don't be afraid to try another doctor if you're not happy with this one.
Thinking of you, Skippy.
thanks aunt jojo! i am not too worried, i know they are very common and pretty easy to remove, though i'm upset that the doctor overlooked it last month and it will be very interesting to see how he explains this. skin cancer (not just moles) runs on the mctammany side too, i think grandpa wallace has had a lot of problems with basal cells and melanomas. i've shunned the sun for the past few years but that won't make up for baking myself 20 summers in a row. i'm just thankful i didn't grow up in southern california or florida where i wouldve been a lot darker a lot longer every year.
