they tell me i think with my right but lean toward the left. i think i'm just kid D.
someone showed this to me a while back, and it's a kind of fun left / right brain thing (I'll be embarrassed if you tell me I saw it here first as I can't recall where I originally saw it)
exactly the same way here, kid d.
bjurk that is cool, i just saw that recently too (not here)& can only see her going clockwise which is supposedly right brain. no se.
bjurk, that's crazy. have you met anyone who sees her turning counter clockwise? i don't see how she could be turning that way.
everyone I showed it to saw her going clockwise, but if you focus on her foot bouncing you can trick your mind into seeing her turn the other direction. it's a little like those "magic eye" posters at the mall.
we've been watching it all morning at work. two of my co-workers see it going counter...fun stuff.
i see it going counter for the first split second & then it turns to clockwise. it is like the schooner pictures at the mall.
Not to brag or anything, but I can trick my mind to see her going counter or clock at will! Of course that is after looking at it for almost 10 minutes. The trick is to notice what foot she's standing on when she's going clock/counter and for some reason the shadow on the bottom helps too.
"Oh, it's a sailboat!"
stop bragging phil.
Also not bragging, but I can see it both ways as well... I can trick my brain into seeing her go back and forth, not actually going all the way around.
No idea what that means either.
Skippy, this drawing along with the human babies one on the graph paper reminds me of an exercise the art teacher in Stimson made us do before we would start working... I cannot remember his name at all, big burly guy with a beard - think his name started with an M... Mast... Masters... I don't know, something Italian. He kept saying that we had to make the "left to right switch" by tracing a pattern of lines for a few minutes. His theory was that we were stuck in left brain mode from other classes, which would impede our creativity in art class.
Sounds like a valid theory to me.
jason, i remember that teacher - mr. mastroianni, he was as big as a mountain, i did not have him, i had mr. smith, who was extremely kind and married to the lady gym teacher. (sitcom potential). mr. mastroianni's theory sounds valid to me too, isn't it funny the things from junior high that stick with you. my question is if the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body, and the left side of the brain controls the right side of the body, doesn't the right side of the brain control the left side of the brain and vice versa? or is the brain exempt from the parts of the body that each side of it controls?
