squash
woke up tuesday and my computer had a virus. it was a fake virus scanner box that popped up. i tried to run virus removal from symantec and windows defender and after babysitting the machine for a few hours while it scanned every file i have, i restarted and the virus popped up again. so i took it to charlotte street computers. the nice guy called last night and said the hardware is fine but it's infected and it will be at least $160 and i should have it back by friday if all goes well and there's no way to rush it. i've been going to goodwill gathering vintage taking photos of a mannequin and going to the library to check emails. pretty frightening how i am so tied to having a computer with the internet. i love technology, but not as much as you you see, but i still love technology, always and forever

asheville people's market
the press release:
"The Asheville People's Market will be open every Sunday, June through October from 11am to 4pm in the Parking Lot across from Rosetta's Kitchen (Broadway's, Nova, the Emerald Lounge, and TV Eye) at 93 N. Lexington Ave. Parking is available near the Food Lion skate park and under the 240 overpass bridge, and on the street on Lexington Ave.
In the spirit of the markets of the world and the generations, i proudly introduce, The Asheville People's Market. It is a flea-market style place to buy art, crafts, and homemade items from Asheville artists as well as bartering for and haggling over for yard sale items, lost treasures, and other peoples un-loved functionals. It is also the place for spending a social Sunday shopping outside of the typical consumer loop.
So bring the kids, the old folk, a sun hat, a few bucks, and come on down to see what treasure you might dig up and what necessities you can skip at the big box stores! Keep it local, Keep it real!
Vendor spaces will be available for 10$, on a first come first serve basis and are open to arts, crafts, handmades, and personal used yard sale and flea market items. We will judge re-sale vendors and informational tables on a individual basis. For more detailed information, or any questions or comments, please e-mail me at rosettastarshine@gmail.com

crumbier cakes
as my wise indonesian friend diana said:
Usually the different one make people more interested (God is so fair) like you say Nacho have smaller head and lighter weight but God give Nacho more charm that make you easily fall in love to him ^ ^. I feel Nacho charm too like I said I love his sweet look....
and you could give away some of the extra slightly crumbier cake.

crumbier cake
"the more you try to have your cake and eat it too, the crumbier it gets"
pearl baptist church, iron station, north carolina
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Have_one's_cake_and_eat_it_too says:
"The reversal of this expression helped in the identification of the Unabomber, Ted Kaczynski. In the Unabomber's "Manifesto", it was written and signed "...you can't eat your cake and have it too. To gain one thing you have to sacrifice another." His brother David Kaczynski was able to identify Ted after reading the "Manifesto". Ted and their mother both used the more accurate but older and less popular use of the phrase."
i'm with the unabomber, it makes more sense to me saying "you can't eat your cake and have it too." either way, it's crumby, and i want both.

this photo is not one from today but it's a scene from my life this week. so far today i've taken photos of washing the dogs and going to greenlife. hopefully i'll get some shots of porch sitting, the post office, farmers market, and superpreppy birthday party tomorrow to round out the excitement. i hope everybody has a great memorial day weekend and says thank you to the fallen soldiers who have laid down their lives for our freedom.

this is why i see live music
"let us go"
Somewhere in between Mobile and Montgomery
sittin’ in a gas station
trying to make some money
so we could go on down to the Gulf of Mexico
Let us go, let us go, let us go
Last night I dreamt about the girl that I left behind
If she was drunk I must have been
goin’ deaf and blind
and if I’m in Georgia again, I’ll get her by my side
and we will go, we will go, we will go
Someone’s lookin’ out for me
and he’s playing jokes and he's actin' awful mean
but he cannot stop my wonderin’
He cannot stop my wanderin’
Fixed my eye against the sky, was worried ‘bout tornados
but I spent the night in a trailer park
just a mile up the road
and if I could survive that without a cyclone attack
I would go, I would go, and I would go
I would go, and I would go, and I would go
I would go, and I would go, and I would go
I would go, and I would go, and I would go
