come together with your hands

spoon, originally uploaded by skippy haha.

if you are looking for a handmade, one-of-a-kind present for somebody or yourself, might i suggest a spoon made by Wormwood Creations?

the spoons are super-high quality, made from an eastern red cedar tree branch that fell in my friend Estes' mother's yard about 10 years ago, and he has put hours and hours into making the smoothest, finest, most functional spoons you could imagine. they are simply beautiful.

he sells them sometimes outside the Grove Arcade downtown asheville, and is glad to take orders by email or over the phone.

if you give a spoon to somebody (your brother), you might get a message saying 'thanks for the spoon, i can't wait til i have kids so i can hit them with it!"

here is Estes booting ball last week while holding his 1-year old niece.

neverending

poor holden. he had major surgery a week ago for his lipoma tumors, and still has stitches in for another few days, but the two biggest tumors look like they're back already. it's like the sites filled back up with fluid that didn't drain. he is going back to the vet this afternoon to get them looked at. if after all this he still has tumors the size of tangerines on his chest i will feel awful. i should have burned that $700 and just cracked him in the ribs with a sledgehammer.

in other news, HAPPY BIRTHDAY SH32! have a stupendous monday! yay being born in the year of the dragon!

koozies float easy to swim with

somebody found this photo today of overbite nacho and grace on flickr with a google search of "do koozies float"

i want to say yes they do, and they are great for dogs so they can swim back with their mouths closed instead of wedged open with a ball and all the water splashes in and they choke.

and for koozies go to vintage vantage or check out your friend who makes drinking fun again - frosty beer man

my freshman year in college i had to take a science class, so the one that seemed easiest was physics for non-majors. this was the lab. the guys were lab partners but did not plan to match.
