it's harder to be outside in winter but moving can be done inside
i just saw andie macdowell humbly floating and glowing through the grocery store. she was wearing a beautiful scarf. she did not bring her own bags but she did bag her own groceries. i realized after i dodged her around the peppers & said 'scuse me' & she politely mumbled herself. i think she is from asheville and still lives here. hey, it's almost groundhog day.
i went to a christmas tree bonfire last night. they torched 150 trees. a few at a time. they collected them all from the xmas tree recycling site. my hair smells like burned evergreen, it's awesome.
i posted a poem earlier today written about people i knew years plural ago but took it down because people i know now are living it maybe i'll post it again in a few months when things are better for them sorry & thanks

screaming at somebody's perceived lazy incompetence through a computer screen: "you are EXTREMELY fucking annoying! EXTREMELY FUCKING ANNOYING!" does not accomplish anything but raising my own heart rate & agitation level, and the levels of nearby dogs. pounding a fist on a desk yelling "IDIOT!" also compounds the stress. it seems this can be reversed by walking down the hall, spiked beverages, and/or herbal remedies.
i'm really loving the snow we've been getting. especially since we haven't lost power at all. i love how the sky looks brown at night when it's snowing.
here are a few real text messages in my box right now:
"I an eating some of our brownies. Bad me. We may have to able more. But thats ok cause i have a lot of boxes of crownie mix."
"Awesomest nevermind evermind"
"But i am trying to get a gig for my band at a bar in town called The Virginian. I named our band Reservoir Tip. I play the keytar. I promise video footage."
this AP bit about madonna's trip to India this week mentions Shantaram with Johnny Depp in the present tense:
Madonna, Ritchie Visit Slums of Mumbai By Associated Press MUMBAI, India — Madonna visited a crowded Mumbai slum Tuesday, where impoverished residents showered her with rose and marigold petals.
Madonna didn't speak to journalists, and a New York-based spokeswoman for the 49-year-old singer wasn't immediately available for comment.
Millions of people live in makeshift huts in slums along railway lines and roads in Mumbai, India's financial and entertainment center.
Wearing a black jacket, T-shirt and jeans, Madonna spent nearly 45 minutes with residents of the downtown shanty township.
She was accompanied by her husband, Guy Ritchie, and Australian author Gregory David Roberts, who made the Mumbai slum his home in the early 1980s.
Roberts worked for the city's crime bosses and set up a free health clinic in the slum when he took refuge in Mumbai after escaping from an Australian high-security prison.
The slum features prominently in Roberts' best-seller "Shantaram," which is being adapted into a film starring Johnny Depp and directed by Mira Nair.

about 20 models came over last night to have some hot buttered cider and try on some old t-shirts. there were a few rookies in the mix but you couldn't tell from the photos.
