here's the opening line to an email i got this week:

Hi Heather!

It's Emily R##s..you know the one that said "Christ did a cow shit in here?" in a nice little play and yes I believe you peed your pants on your parents dining room chair...that was me.

her family of 3 girls around the ages of my brother and me, i was oldest by a couple years, Emily was youngest by a few years, would come visit for a couple weeks in the summer and we would go to their house at bonnet shores in rhode island for a couple weeks in the summer too and we would do plays. the one she's talking about she was maybe 4 or 5 years old and i was about 8th grade and she knocked on the front door in a skit from 'kentucky fried movie' for a fake air freshener commercial, she had white hair like an angel and knocked on the door and said 'christ did a cow shit in here' and it was so funny i peed on the chair.

it was either this year or the following summer.

how to make a peanut butter & jelly sandwich (1983)

First you take two peices of bread some peanut butter and some jelly and then
you spread the peanut butter and jelly on the bread and put one peice of bread
on top of another. Then you get a plate and put the sandwich on it. And
finally you put everything but the sandwich and plate away.

the aerogarden is trucking right along, the greens are sprouting from every pod. another couple weeks & it'll be harvest time.

all my temecula wine glasses are also holding up, as is the glass i have from west point that says "With Pride We Defend USMA 97." i got it 10 years ago at a dance at west point and i drink OJ from it every morning. right up there with meeting Ray Knight and having Tea Leaf Green say happy birthday to me is the Camp Buckner weekend in august 1994 when my bestest girl friends & i went up to west point for a dance with extremely cute older boys in uniforms. no! sleep! til buckner! we all had just graduated high school & were leaving for college in the next couple of weeks & it was just a really exciting time full of freedom and hormones.

2 highlights

through the diligent taping and uploading efforts of my friend ben and the wonders of technology, we can now relive time and time again the minute and a half before the encore started when tea leaf steve said happy birthday to me. it is tied for life highlights with this, in 1986, when i met ray knight of the world champion new york mets.

One day on April 30th 1967 at 11 thirdy P.M. it started raining bunnys + bears everyone looked out their windows and my mom caught a bunny. it was white with pink ears and a stubby tan tail. I kept him in my room. But when it stopped 2 hours later there was bunny's + bear's every where! In the morning My mom + dad and I tried to get to McDonalds but we squished to many bears + bunny's.
