Here's a vegan version, but for a regular you can add in some cheese of your liking while heating it or top it with some.
4 cups moderately packed basil leaves 2/3 cup pine nuts 2 or more garlic cloves (I add around 5-8 depending on my mood...) 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil 1/2 tsp salt
With a food processor or blender running, drop in the garlic, then add the rest of the ingredients.
rock on, sfw! thank you! my fantastical boyfriend cuisinarted some up for us last night - he used cashews instead of pine nuts, and probably like 10 cloves of garlic. it's got a kick! it's so good i want to swim in a pool of it.

Yummy! We have three plants, so we're backstroking in it too. Great for homemade pizzas. Oh yeah.
