shrimp people

went down to spartanburg yesterday to see neil young solo. i'd never seen him live and was struck by how he made his instruments sound like 2 or 3 people were playing at once.

the tailgate before the show was the best tailgate i've ever been to. my dad gave us a box of frozen shrimp to carry on to the plane back in march and kevin made shrimp pierre and they were completely scrumptious and completely gone by the end of the night.

thank you shrimppeople.com!

That's an unusually good recipe. In the hands of someone as talented as Kevin it doesn't surprise me that it was all gone. Wish I had been there. I remember listening to Neil Young when you were a pup. You're still a pup. Neil Young and Shrimp Pierre. Sounds like a winning weekend.

kevin is a kitchen wizard! he made some gumbo yesterday that was outstanding. neil young was great, i don't remember listening to him when i was a pup, though i remember barry manilow and neil diamond and diana ross.

It was when I was in college. Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young. You're right. You weren't a pup yet.

okay, i believe that! did you have the 8 tracks?

Yes I did. Pirated in fact from a girl named Carole Deible for $1. She was cute and desparate. Bought a bunch. Probably still have some somewhere.

cute and desperate - what a fabulous combination! have you ever watched the show 'hoarders'?

I watched a couple of minutes of the show once. I work with one, so I have my own daily show. I consider myself a marginal hoarder. I like old stuff and luckily I have two kids who have raided my stuff over time. If they take it it's ok. They were going to get it anyway.
