the thermostat is un-modded, don't worry! the tank was empty in mid-october when gas prices here were nearing $5/gallon, and it cost a ridiculous amount of money to get 100 gallons(the oil company minimum). since then, gas is back down to a dollar and change, and i got the tank filled all the way and am not worried about it this winter anymore. but i still keep it low around 60 and use a space heater in the office if i'm the only one here instead of wasting heat through the whole completely uninsulated house.
