basic difference
i pick up her keys
every time she drops them.
she's never picked mine up.
i've never dropped them.
every time she drops them.
she's never picked mine up.
i've never dropped them.

to the shooting stars
A scientist
without any beakers
Evangelist
flows through the speakers
patching the holes and the parts that are weaker
it's bigger than you'll ever know
immune to any earthly desires
don't cry out loud or you'll fall from the wire
we all meet our ends by time water or fire
and the free fall you get what a rush
without any beakers

treading water
send me a line
i thought i was fine
beside the boat
taking my time
here comes a shark
the sky's getting dark
losing all hope
look for a sign
down swings the rope
i feel myself choke
like the air's full of smoke
and there's nowhere to hide

GREEN THE COLOR
"GREEN THE COLOR"
by, William O. Johnson
Money is my first thought, but that is too easy,
green the color
Grass is green and pleasant, there are many shades of green
carpet and pieces of linen, green the color.
Paintings with jade, kelly, moss, avocado and pea,
green the color.
Apples, the rainbow, lakes, rivers and even the ocean, there
is green the color.
Eyes of a beautiful woman, the pool table, a luxury car, a
book cover, house trim and a new dress, green the color.
Green will always relax you, never ever tax you,
green the color.
Pick a shade for yourself, share it with someone else or share
it with your lover, green is green, even under the covers,
GREEN THE COLOR

how i've been a friend to Travoltordo
Travoltordo is a #2 pencil drawing of a man 1/2 Mike Gordon (from Phish,) 1/2 John Travolta( from Saturday Night Fever) -
here's a good look of craig & him back when he was shiny & new-
and now he has so many beautiful signatures, including Mike Gordon! But the real John Travolta sig remains elusive...
that's me in the reflection:
i wrote back to the fan club asking if Mr Travolta would sign the original fake Travoltordo, but got no response. so for now, the original fake hangs in its trophy case -
hopefully we will get the final Travolta signature some time soon, completing the mission set by Dan Lebowitz of ALO and fulfilling Travoltordo's destiny, maybe at one of his book signings next fall. thank you for showing me the way to happiness, mr. travolta and travoltordo!
don't forget to look at travoltordo's home, especially the photos, run by his caretaker shiny blue craig -
travoltordo's tribe home

not longing haiku 9-16
practiced at the art
of exclusion of those who
make everything wrong
they all have a ding
they're all banged up in some way
and then there are those
i try to inspire
candle's wick electric wire
don't touch leaping fire
i'll give it for free
and take it for free, when the
strings attach, i'm gone
fear of the unknown
possibility of pain
destruction failure
selfish demon lurks
i'm not who i think i am
we'll all be surprised
every second counts
i'm so impatient that i
eat green bananas
young sad high late night
you forget sleep is not death
there's another chance
of exclusion of those who
make everything wrong
they all have a ding
they're all banged up in some way
and then there are those
i try to inspire
candle's wick electric wire
don't touch leaping fire
i'll give it for free

longing haiku 9-16
how soon we forget
a desire fulfilled is a
wick that's been burned down
keep your friends close and
your enemies closer and
your muses in flight
i left my heart in
someone's pocket they threw it
in with the laundry
i want to be numb
float down the stream on a raft
a big bumper boat
is this on the test
if not i'll daydream about
cute boys and sweaters
there's nothing to say
now that the line has been drawn
we can't get back there
my need is a pit
so hollow it's without sides
black tar sucking hole
the orange blossom
smells sweeter than sugar on
cotton candy cake
a desire fulfilled is a
wick that's been burned down
keep your friends close and
your enemies closer and
your muses in flight
i left my heart in
someone's pocket they threw it

do it
your laziness is a weapon
when others suffer its slings
do what you say you'll do
see all the good it brings
when others suffer its slings
do what you say you'll do
see all the good it brings

happy birthday jim reilly
today Jim Reilly would've been 30 instead of stuck at 25. Here's an article about him from the William & Mary magazine - "Remembering a Generous Heart."
Here's a picture of Mike, Jim & Jon from the late 90's-
Here's the Circus of the Animals that Jim, Beth & i made in 10th grade.
Clarence the Party Pup was Jim's -
there's Clarence in the clouds of my ghetto fingerpainting
there's Clarence at night
one in a million, i miss him every day
